In-Short:
Question: What is the biggest challenge that people face when it comes to public speaking?
Brenden: I think the biggest one that comes to mind is understanding how to actually practice. You present one repeatable presentation that solves a problem for someone else. And you do it over and over and over and over and over. And most people don’t practice that way.
Question: If someone wants to become good at public speaking. What should they start doing?
Brenden: I think the easiest way to get started is to figure out your public speaking line.
Question: In the professional world that we live in, we would be asked to give an impromptu speech. So do you have any tips for that?
Brenden: Let’s break this down and make it super easy for people. The first thing I want to say is I don’t recommend it for beginner speakers. That’s not where you start. You start with repeatable presentations and you move up to that. Okay. The second thing I would say is the following sentence. If I were to summarize impromptu, it would sound like this. I don’t know what I’m going to say as much as you do. I’m not smarter than you. Not more important and I am not more special. But through my way of speaking, I’m going to convince you that I do, so that with some practice you will too.
Question: How do you exude confidence when you speak?
Brenden: I think the right approach to confidence stems from two key areas, preparation, and a belief system. How many times have you prepared for the speech? How ready are you? And the second thing is your belief system.
Question: What is the one advice that you want to give it away to our listeners?
Brenden: The advice I want to give away to people is that hopefully nothing to do with public speaking, but everything to do with mindset and personal development, which is practicing the art of being more insane. I want you all to just internalize this. I’m a 22-year-old guy who started a YouTube channel on blogging, not on comedy, not on skits, but on public speaking. So why in the world that I do that? And that is because I just believe and I live by the saying, which is, be insane or be the same.
